Shan joined Western Agency in 2013 after manufacturing windows in MN and harvest equipment in Newburg, ND and traveling the world to promote equipment to producers in Ukraine, South Africa and Mexico. His first experience in the industry was in 1989 when he sold accident insurance door-to-door and came back to the career to help businesses and individuals in the Bottineau area with their insurance needs. As a member of the Western Agency team, he’s able to share his expertise and use the experience of others to help find solutions and get clients the coverage that’s best for them.

Shan and his family like to stay active year round, watching and playing sports, frisbee golf or spending the summers boating, swimming, and fishing with friends at Lake Metigoshe. Shan would tell you that his fishing time on the open water or on ice is his favorite way to destress and he enjoys teaching and taking others fishing when he can as a volunteer for Annie’s House. He is active in the community in Bottineau, Newburg and surrounding areas.

Mike spent the last decade living in Fort Worth, TX and has spent most of his career int he automotive industry. He spent time as a salesman, finance director and most recently sales director. With his experience in sales, Mike is looking forward to continuing to offer clients top quality service and peace of mind.

Outside of work, Mike spends time with his wife and three sons. His biggest passions are sports and cooking. Mike’s wife grew up local to this area so when the opportunity arose to move back to the family farm, they happily took it.

Mike is looking forward to getting involved in the community and planting roots that can develop for years to come.

Danielle Warren

Danielle Warren is an Associate Account Executive who has been part of Western Agency since 2017. Before entering the insurance field, she gained diverse experience, from selling Aflac insurance to working in customer service, hospitality, the oilfield industry, and even graphic design, the field in which she earned her college degree. Danielle enjoys the fast‑paced nature of her work and values the constant learning that comes with staying knowledgeable for her clients. Outside the office, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, and making memories. A lifelong animal lover, she has cared for everything from chinchillas and ferrets to rescued skunks and a raccoon, along with the usual dogs and cats. She recently discovered a passion for downhill skiing and also enjoys photography, especially capturing nature stills. A fun fact about Danielle: she once planned to get her Class A CDL and ended up earning a Class B, hauling beets and fertilizer for a season. She also proudly served six years in the Minnesota Army National Guard. Danielle values growth, connection, and service; qualities she brings to her work every day.

Breanna Blue

Bree Blue joined Western Agency in June 2025, bringing over a decade of experience in healthcare and insurance. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a Business Analyst at BCBSND, specializing in Government Programs. Bree holds a BS in Business Management, an AAS in Caregiver Services, and a Certificate in Office Assistance, with a background rooted in both medical and administrative roles.

What Bree enjoys most about her work is helping people—whether it’s providing solutions or guiding them in the right direction, she’s passionate about making a positive impact.

Outside the office, Bree loves reading (40+ books a year!), traveling, attending sporting events, and spending time with her wife and three kids. She also has a unique claim to fame: her sister-in-law shares her name and number of children—and her family includes five sets of twins, including one of her own!
